Central Government Act IPC Section 398 in The Indian Penal Code
Attempt to commit robbery or dacoity when armed with deadly weapon- If, at the time of attempting to commit robbery or dacoity, the offender is armed with any deadly weapon, the imprisonment with which such offender shall be punished shall not be less than seven years. This is a non-bailable, cognizable offense and considered by the court and this crime is not worth the compromise.

भारतीय दंड संहिता (IPC) की धारा-398
घातक आयुध से सज्जित होकर लूट या डकैती करने का प्रयत्न- यदि लूट या डकैती करने का प्रयत्न करते समय, अपराधी किसी घातक आयुध से सज्जित होगा, तो उसे कम से कम सात वर्ष तक के लिए कठोर कारावास की सजा से दण्डित किया जाएगा। यह एक गैर-जमानती, संज्ञेय अपराध है और सत्र न्यायालय द्वारा विचारणीय है एवं यह अपराध समझौता करने योग्य नहीं है।
